An original acrylic painting depicting the sunset over the peak district.
This painting was created from photographs and sketches I had done while on day trips and on car journeys to the Peak District. I expanded on the sketches and worked from photographs, picking out as many colours as I could see and emphasising them with an abstract painting style, attempting to capture the weather and atmosphere of a day in the Peaks and focusing on the colours of the sky and the effect of the sky on the landscape.
This painting is on A3 (29.7 x 42 cm) textured acrylic paper, sealed with satin spray varnish and signed on the reverse, ready to be framed.
